Whether your team is distributed across many floors in the same building or across many countries, the "new normal" is virtual team interaction. It comes with both benefits and challenges.  By reducing the known causes of virtual team productivity "leakage", you can increase effectiveness by 20-40%.

You can minimize these common virtual team problems:
  1. The need to repeat tasks due to untested assumptions associated with electronic communication.

  2. Wasted time at virtual team meetings.

  3. Alienating key international stakeholders due to inattention to their cultural concerns.

  4. Subtle sabotage by those left out of the communication process.

  5. Loss of team effectiveness due to poor use of technology.

How You Will Benefit:
During this fast-paced, interactive webinar, you will develop a personal application plan to enable you to:
  • Apply key techniques that will enable you to turn two virtual team weaknesses into strengths

  • Assess team complexity to determine the key points of performance risk

  • Accelerate the communication process across borders and time zones

  • Effectively understand and manage cultural differences

  • Ensure virtual team effectiveness with the use of "hand-off rules" to prevent important items from falling through the cracks

  • Identify and apply key virtual team leadership techniques

Key Take Aways:

You will have the opportunity to develop an individual application plan that addresses your specific virtual team needs and priorities. You will understand why virtual teams get in trouble, and what you can do about it.

Why Managing Virtual Teams?

As globalization explodes, and technology becomes more complex, "virtual competence" becomes a major requirement for successful organization performance.  Technical expertise is no longer enough. The ability to perform and communicate clearly, effectively and quickly in a virtual environment is now a core competency in organizations that do business internationally.  In such an environment, the ability to operate effectively across organization, cultural and international boundaries will differentiate the most effective professionals from the rest.
