Developed by the Project Management Institute® (PMI), the Project Management Body of
Knowledge (PMBOK) is recognized as an international standard for project success. PMI offers a certification process where experienced project managers
(i.e., those with 4,500 hours of project experience over 3-5 years) can sit for
an exam that will enable them to become certified Project Management
Professionals (PMP®). The PMP designation is recognized around the world as a symbol of
proficiency in project management. PMI also offers a CAPM™ (Certified Associate of Project Management) for
professionals just getting started in the field.
